The original Epic Duck entered Roblox culture in 2009. EPIK is a Solana memecoin inspired by that character; @educkcoin is its X account. Mando chose the duck to stand apart from the endless stream of dog and cat coins.

Epic Duck first appeared in Roblox for April Fools’ Day in 2009. The giant rubber duck became part of the platform’s culture—long before it found its way onchain.
Too many dogs. Too many cats. One duck.
Mando says he created EPIK during the early PumpFun era while livestreaming with Keyboard Monkey. It began as an experiment built around a strange old meme he already remembered.
The stream ended. The story didn’t.
Most early participants traded the launch and moved on. Mando stayed. In his telling, his reputation had become attached to the coin—and EPIK became a public attempt to break the one-cycle rule.
